I'm not sure that there is any single source for every world phone. However, if you are looking for a device to use globally, consider an unlocked GSM device. That'll be your best and probably safest bet for use globally and have flexibility with the network providers you are trying to use.

What is "CDMA-like"? I've been in the business since cellphones were analog, and I've never heard that term. It's either CDMA or TDMA (GSM is a different level than either, but GSM is a TDMA technology). It's either code division or time division. What's "code division"-like? Somethng Qualcom came up with in the past few days that I missed?
