I have a Chromecast related problem. I get a solid 40 mpbs to the house. It goes to a Linskies 2500 router. My PC in the same room as the Chromecaster gets a mere 10mpbs and the Chromecaster seems to be in constant 'buffering' and freezing mode.

The router (and every router I have tried) promises an 'up to' really fast speeds but they all take the 40mpbs signal and gut it to a fraction of what it is getting.

Can anyone suggest a way to get through an entire You Tube video without it stalling out half a dozen times??? Is there any device that will send a wireless signal close to what it is getting???

Can something be done to increase the Chromecaster's ability to read a signal?

You said your PC is in the same room as the Chromecast, where is your router located? If your router is not in the same room as the Chromecast, can you move it there?

How many devices are connected to the wi-fi router while streaming? try changing the password incase someone is leaching? have you considered using a wifi analyzer app app to check the signal strength in the room. try checking it while youtube is streaming and stuttering to see what happens.
