I love my rooted phone and wish I had someone offline to talk about it with who gets it.

It's a lonely obsession. Heh.

I know the feeling. I was explaining it to my girlfriend the other day and she just doesn't get it.

same.. :-\

I'm checking like every hour to see if adrynaline has posted his EC01 community rom up.

One guy at work decided today he is going to start calling me "geek squad" :D

I so know the feeling I get so pumped and tell my wife and she just says ok. Then at work one guy has a droid but would be better if he had a rock he could understand it better lol.

I don't think the community ROM is based on this EC01 build. Over at XDA Adrynalyne said the community ROM was something different and this EC01 build was just something that would keep everyone happy for now until the community ROM is released.

I hope Debinged/Debloated and all lovely!! I dont know how it can top how smooth 2.9.2 is....better battery life for all maybe???

regarding the OP: yes, me too! I amazed my friend who has the t-mobile galaxy phone by installing Launcher Pro for her. She thinks I'm the smartest person she knows. :D

My husband thinks I'm so weird (ha, but that coming from his poor iphone restrictions!) He actually looked over my shoulder last night and mumbled something about how he's beginning to think my phone just might be cooler than his! Win!

But I've always been the techie-er one. I can't leave well enough alone!

My wife and i came to an agreement after 10 years. She sits there and talks accounting gibberish, my eyes glaze over and every once and awhile i say something to the effect of "wow, really?"

She does the same when I talk any tech. Works well.

Just an absolutely perfect agreement!

Landshark, I to am known as the geek at work. My boss dubbed me "little super geek." We all wear such badges with pride :D

Sadly, my one brother is an appleite and my other one sees his Droid 1 as a text messaging and facebook tool with some web browsing. He refuses to root, even for ginger bread. :(

I'm known as the techie/geek in my family. Everyone usually comes to me if they have a problem with their computer or phone. I don't mind, this stuff has always come natural to me lol.

I almost got two of my co-workers to want their phones rooted, but they won't learn how so I'm afraid I'm gonna end up running out in the middle of the night to save their phone. *sigh*

HA! YOU'RE AWESOME! If I could "like" you, I would. Facebook button style.

In my quest to talk to someone about my phone and to check up on the charge, I went in to my local vz store.
The store was slow, and me and an associate who also owns a fascinate start chatting.
He starts getting blown away at what I've got on the phone. His is totally stock EA28, no launcher, plain jane.
He then offers me some money to make his have froyo. Well, I invited him over to my house, to odin some stuff for him.
After reading what Sheep said, I'm getting second thoughts. Who needs someone, total stranger, calling for tech alla time?
But it was nice to talk to someone about the phone. :)

I would say you are safe with just a "This can have complications and you need to learn about it.".

I however need to see these people every day and can't escape LOL. Not that I would mind but it could get inconvenient.

Yeah, that would be horrible having a bunch of total strangers asking you for help and advice all the time. Can't imagine what that would be like...........Oh wait, that's what we do here all the time :p;)
