I purchased a Q+ android box that will not install Kodi builds, does anyone know why please.

When the box arrived it had KD Player on which opened same as Kodi screen for installing new add-on and APK's but will when I tried to install Kodi the message DOWNLOAD FAILED appears every time. I even uninstalled KD Player and managed to install Kodi 18.4 but that also will not install Kodi builds. I have tried several times to install no limits build but just get the same download failed message. Can anyone suggest a kodi build to try that might work please.

"Download failed" doesn't mean that Kodi failed, it means that the download failed. Maybe because you were trying to install an addon that no longer exists? (They keep getting taken down since, technically, they're still all violations of copyright. So is Kodi.)

The addon referred to changed servers recently hence the error. As stated by Rukbat, it is because many addons violate copyright laws, however, Kodi itself is not illegal.
