I rooted my LTE and its like I have a whole new phone!!!

AFAIK there's no real issues with Wifi, it disconnects randomly at night when the phone's idle (along with 3G) but that's because HTC put in some stood e power saving profile that shuts those connections down at night and gave users no option to the schedule... You can easily disable that once rooted or even without root thru a paid market app.

Personally I think it was one of the sillier changes in Sense 4, between 12 and 7 I'm either at home with the phone charging (or soon to be) or I'm out partying and the last thing I need is for data to drop in the background and then make me wait for a reconnect when I need it. Almost as bad as the over aggressive memory management if you ask me.

I work 3rd shift and have a hell of a time keeping my phone tethered to my computer. I keep losing my 3g connection, are you saying there is something that can be shut off??

I have this problem too. Start on boot is selected. Anyone actually getting thus to work?

EVOLTE and AC FTW!

My settings are sticking. I have done a full reboot (10 second power button press) and the menu activated reboot as well. I have not lost the new settings at all. You you sure you gave the ROM Toolbox app root access via the SuperSU app? If you open the SuperSU app, ROM Tool box should be listed under the APPS tab.

It's my understanding that this requires flashing a zip in recovery, which requires unlocking the bootloader, which currently can only be done via HTC's unlock. If I'm wrong I would love to know otherwise :)

My ROM is FreEvo and it automatically came with that setting.

I mennt i would love to know if you could do it without using HTC unlock. At the time you need it to flash a ROM or install a zip in recovery. I went ahead and did the unlock anyway though and have flashed a couple of great ROMs with this in it.

Now, of course, there is the new S-off method in beta :p

I want to get my LTE rooted but can't figure out the tether or hotspot part of it out. I want to hook up my Touchpad and just can't find out how. Home brewing on WebOS was soo much easier.

in an earlier post I read that it can be done without rooting. Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

This question might be answered but I'm new to rooting. The question I have is once rooted and I keep the same image can sprint OTA updates still installed automatically?

it's usually better not to take an OTA update until the developer community determines if it will affect root. You can protect yourself however using Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...rg.projectvoodoo.otarootkeeper&token=QS2bwhLG.
