Same here.I think there is something wrong with lollipop. I got much better battery life on my note 4 prior to lollipop.

Its not bad at all but not great by any means. Through 4 charge cycles I'm averaging right at 4 hours SOT which is pretty much the same as my S6. BUT the G4 does give you the option to pop in a spare battery so there is that. This is why with my g4 on its way will be at my house monday I am worried about the phone. Battery life is key for me.

My Note 4 had amazing battery life prior to upgrading to Lollipop. It seems the G4 and S6 so-so battery life is all attributable to Lollipop. I'm sure, as you said, with future updates it can improve.Aggie I appreciate the insight. I guess my hope is a software update fixes this issue. My note 4 is killer at battery life. I like to have another phone to swap to as I get bored and intrigued by new tech, just carrying another battery I guess is a first world problem I shouldn't complain about, but hope I won't have to

I haven't researched but is there an eta for M? I'm guessing a long ways away since lollipop just dropped.
I've been reading a lot about the nexus 6... it's an intriguing device to me especially now that my g4 is enough route with "poor battery life"

Battery life in any phone is good for some and bad for some. Sometimes it's a bad unit and sometimes it's a bad battery. Sometimes it's just bad.
It's always best practice for the user to factory reset or exchange the unit. If it's still bad for your use, then there's nothing wrong with moving on to another device which hopefully performs better.
I'm lucky enough that the battery life on my G4 is awesome for my use. Couldn't be happier.

^^this^^ x1000 ...on point!
Battery life has been excellent for my use! As a matter of fact, I haven't been able to get it below 30%. I must be a weak user, lol!

Start gaming on it, lose that 30% like a power user! lol
So, I think I found a good fix for the battery. Last night I unsynced a lot of Google stuff. Today I've had it off the charger for about 4 hours, I have only 30 mins of screen time, but the battery is only at 96%!

Where did you go to change those? Thanks.
Settings, accounts & sync, google, and tap your google sign in under "accounts." From there you can uncheck everything you don't use.
I would but for some damn strange reason I start passing out when I play games or watch anything on my commute. I've dropped my device many times this way.....no bueno....lol!!
My battery life has just been so-so as well. I have the H815 and I'm using it on T-Mobile. It has been slowly getting better the more I use it though, so I'm still breaking the battery in. I have it on auto brightness but I also changed the slider from 100% to 50% and it improved the battery.
I think part of my problem is that I'm coming an Xperia Z3 which gets phenomenal battery life. I thought the Z3 was the same as other flagships but now I'm realizing it really is better.
If you're on T-Mobile try to disable their diagnosis features and their WiFi scanning tools. That helped my battery life a bit. At first I felt the same as the OP but 5 days in it seems like it's getting a bit better. Yesterday I finally got a lil closer to 4 hours of screen on time. Hopefully it Will get better.
That is one of the problems, battery usage is very subjective and a lot goes into it.
