i take it back battery is trash!!!!

Argh, I had been looking at the wrong thing with my SOT. Right now, its at 2 hours 55 minutes with 54% remaining, and 10 hours 14 minutes total on time. No, I had not been charging during the day, either. I have my brightness set at 36%, which is actually pretty bright indoors.

Sorry for the confusion. My bad!

The thing with screen on time is that it depends on what you are doing WITH the screen time.

Someone playing MK X is going to have a lot less SoT before the battery dies than someone who is surfing the net and checking emails.

Im on tmobile. Lastest 2 days before i had to charge. Battery is simply amazing

Btw. I had the galaxy s6...now that is a "trash" battery life phone

EXACTLY, that's what so many are forgetting about.
Screen on, just doing "nothing" is going to get you a LOT long SoT then screen on doing some extensive gaming (which is also digging into the battery), so simply saying "my Sot is: xx" kind of useless without a lot more information. Cell reception AND connection (3G, LTE, etc.) make a large difference.

I am at 5 hours and 7 minutes of SOT, and I have 70% still left. FAR superior to the Note 3 with the crappy 5.0.1 update (AT&T) I had. My LG G4 is with T-Mobile.

Can you get us a screen shot? These numbers are unreal and I have to see. Thanks.

How is everyone getting great battery life? I get just under 3 hours of screen time and I'm running for a charger after 10 hours. My Nexus 6 had better battery life. I don't game on my phone either. I mainly stream music for a few hours, social media, and text.

I average in the 5 hour+ range screen on time with the s6 edge. Average 15+ hours on a charge. Phone charges full in an hour or less. It's been the best experience out of any device I've owned. Far from trash. Any battery life problems on any Android as of late seems to be problems with Lollipop and/or user error. Not device specific.

I am at 3.5 hours of SOT now, 30% battery life, after 14 hours 23 minutes total time. Not bad, considering all that I have done with it today (web surfing, streaming some videos, lots of pics and video taking, messaging). Still better than I was getting from my Note 3. Was running my brightness between 35-40% all day, with times up to near 80% when outside.

I'm happy with my battery so far, although this is my first full day. No games or anything except for Trivia Crack but lots of photos, videos, instagram, chrome, facebook, tapatalk, texts and calls.

I seem to be getting around 3.5 hours of screen time. Came from note 4 and iPhone 6 plus. The note I was getting about 5 to 6 and the iPhone around 9 to 10. I love everything about this phone except the battery. If I can get it to 4.5 to 5 I can deal with that but 3 to 4 is not acceptable in my opinion. I don't game same apps as my note.

I think there is something wrong with lollipop. I got much better battery life on my note 4 prior to lollipop.

All things manually turned on and off, no auto brightness and the brightness changes throughout the day.
Anything I can disable has been that I don't really need to have enabled.

Firefight, what phone do you have? I was considering the S6 until I read all these forum horror stories. Dropped my Note II so in need of new phone asap.
Thanks!

There are more good experiences with the S6, you just don't hear those because they don't post about it like the bad. Sort of like the media. Mine is great!

Absolutely agree. The s6 is fantastic. But for some reason only the negatives are pointed out. I get fantastic sot. Very happy

I'd take a S6 in a heartbeat...no sense in bagging on the phone. Just think they lost their way for a bit with the battery/SD card issue.

This is my S6 without gaming and light social media use. Like others have said, don't let the people who have bad or broken phones mislead you about the true battery life of any phone.
