I think i bricked my phone. HELP!!!

I heard that their network is crap. World for.like three days string then you never get a connection. What do u expect for 25 bucks unlimited everything... yeah u got unlimited but dies.it work?........

Its like u was watching a horror. Movie for.phones.... and when u put put optimus s on ur v I just about shat myself... I felt your pain the whole way through. I love cm7 on my Droid incredible its the best rom

Now you've been doing a lot of stuff to your phone. There are three possible explanations as to why your data is not working:

1. Their system is down in your neck of the woods.

2. You need to run the activation app because the Sprint rom deactivated your data.

3. You flashed a Sprint cab file using KDZ.


My guess is your problem is number 2. To fix this, make a nandroid backup of your current setup: boot into recovery -> backup and restore -> backup
Next, wipe data and cache using recovery, and flash the Aphrodite rom (or any other Froyo rom that has the activation app).
Once the rom loads, run the activation app.
It will count 3,2,1 and then fail. That's fine. You'll see your 3G come back immediately.
Boot back into your recovery, and restore your nandroid backup.

You better hope your problem is not number 3. There is no fix for that. The only theoretical fix for that is the nuclear option I posted in the other "I bricked my phone" thread.

its not 3 bc i never flashed a .cab with kdz. I was in the process of doing it though but i never got past the first steps of emergency mode. Took too long so I said F it which im glad I did.

Also I had already went into a stock version of Virgin Mobile and did another activation using the ## number and it rebooted and did its thing. I didn't use the app but i figured its the same thing. Still no 3g though. VM internet really that bad? lol its been about a week since i haven't had 3g.

This is why you read everything about rooting and flashing roms on your phone.
Before I did mine I spent a couple of hours every day for over a week reading everything I could find on the OV.
When you rush into things without doing some homework skip steps these kinds of things happen, And it all started from something as simple as doing a factory wipe when it is clearly stated to do wipes from recovery in pretty much every thread on flashing roms.
