I've been trying to tell ppl how great Bixby really is, I use it constantly, so much so I'm in the top 2000 users lol.

I have an Indian accent and Bixby is able to understand what I speak. There are few instances where it misunderstands the word but I teach it and next time it gets what I meant.

I told it what I was saying like 5 times and it still typed a load of rubbish I said "Search HMS Warspite battle damage world war 1" and it comes up as gibberish while Google assistant does it first time no problem.

I have a funny little thing about my Bixby. I have the app Waze which is one of the coolest map apps that includes postings for watching out for cops and things on the road. Anyway for whatever reason when I say open Waze or even spell it, Bixby doesn't seem to know what it is about 95% of the time. So what I did was go into Quick commands find the one time it did work and just give it a goofy name I call it "map yo" and it brings it right up every single time it will bring up the regular map program that spilled into the phone and all sorts of other apps it just has a particular issue with Waze for some reason but it's more fun to say my silly phrase anyway.

I like Bixby. I use it all the time. Some of the commands I give are long but Bixby takes it all in.

Hold the Bixby button and "say record a video." It has got to be the fastest way to record something with your phone. I think it gets hate because it was late to the party. If you study all the commands, you may change your mind.

I have one problem with Bixby.

It does not recognize things I say at times and at one point, it got it completely wrong.

I just watched a youtube video on covering your tracks if your significant other looks at your phone. I learned some stuff lol. i.e. if you took pictures with your paramour and you don't want hubby to see them you say "Bixby put last six photos into secure folder". Or if you have incriminating photos from your trip to Rome, you say "Bixby delete Rome photos". I had a good laugh. But it was helpful to know about the secure folder. Bixby works well for me. I just changed the voice to male from female (or rather he changed it).

I’m having a huge problem with Bixby, the button works but with voice wake up when trying to set it up always says “couldn’t hear you”. I’ve been to two different Best Buys and the Samsung reps can’t even figure it out, wth.

On my previous Note 5 before my Note 7 I had a"my places" widget that I loved. when I connected to my car or when I arrived home or at the office I could customize my profiles. The Bixby quick commands takes this to another level. I use Bixby all day. And I love the dedicated button. It makes it that much easier to access. I'm so happy with the Note 8.

Bixby still can't understand my accent I've tried talking slower, faster, prouncing words slower or faster and still nothing.

It took 20 attempts just for it to recognise me saying "Open The Guardian"

Such a disappointment while Google assistant does it in the first attempt.

Do you also have Google assistant turned on?
