I Think I Love Bixby

wow, just watched this, pretty amazing and highlights perfectly how the Bixby / Google Assistant debate is really both/and, not either/or
I'm really enjoying Bixby. I can't say enough about it. It makes navigating my ssmartphone so easy and seamless. Every smartphone should have a Bixby button.

Will driving I find Bixby almost completely useless. It wakes up OK but never understands what I want. Most of the stuff I try is dialing contacts and sending text messages. Also it doesn't support Bluetooth functions yet so when I press the button on the side of my Bluetooth ear piece it launches google assistant which works perfect for the 2 most used functions.

I haven't had any issues with making calls to contacts. So what happens When you ask Bixby to make a call?

Too frequently, Bixby misunderstand a difficult to spell name and then can't find that contact. So it can't make the call
While Bixby was recently improved in that regard, it still makes mistakes in translating your pronunciation into the contact in your directory. In contrast, Google assistant gets it right almost all of the time.

Same problem here, Bixby seldom gets names right while Google Assistant has no problem...

I have the same problem while driving. She doesn't read incoming texts without screen interation nor will she send texts by voice command reliably.

For me, Bixby is useless while driving. It very frequently does not understand what I want (e.g., gets the contact or message wrong when texting or calling). I actually consider it a safety hazard because I need to go back and fix something. Google Assistant is SO much better. Although, if I am in a quiet room and speak very clearly Bixby works OK, probably more than half the time.

I tried it twice yesterday to set a reminder and both times (at different times in the day) said "cannot connect" or something. I want to like Bixby but it keeps sucking.

When you have some leisurely time play around with Bixby pronouncing names and setting your own commands. Allow Bixby to get use to your pronunciation and habits. I hope this helps.

Whats weird at least in my case, sometimes Bixby has either connection iaaues or a long delay in processing your request. Ill say the same request to Google and its almost instantaneous. Not sure why Google appears so much quicker in many cases. I like having them both - Google is my backup.

The problem I have with texts is that it sends the message immediately after I dictate it, without giving me chance to verify the text Bixby has transcribed. There are often errors in the text and sometimes it even goes to the wrong person. It wasn't always this way. At first Bixby gave me chance to verify the message. It stopped doing that at some point.

Question: Do you know how I can get Bixby to let me verify the message before sending?

Did you try this?
