I think my battery life is as good or better than my old Incredible??

Hello all,
I just got my thunderbolt yesterday after owning a droid incredible before. On the Incredible I would usually get around 13-18 hours use depending on how heavy I used it that day.

Well last night after activating the Thunderbolt, I played with it for about 2 hours before battery went dead. I charged it back to 100 % battery life (didn't bump charge).
1. After being back at 100 percent, I downloaded a bunch more apps and some new ones that I saw recommended on here (thank you), set up my work email, browsed the internet a lot on the phone, and posted in a few forums about my early experiences with it.
2. I then got on facebook some and facebook chat and began to make fun of my Ohio State fan friends.
3. Messed with the calendar.
4. Sent and received a total of 34 text messages, and received 4 emails.

After doing all this the settings I had on my phone were 1/3 brightness on the widget, phone turns of after 30 seconds, gps was not on except for google services, and I probably used wifi around 3-4 hours last night and today. I removed the City ID app, and haven't messed with the Blockbuster app at all.

As of this moment my Thunderbolt hasn't been charged in 14hours 2 minutes and is sitting at 33 % battery life. This is after 1 day of owning the phone.
So in summary I just wanted to say based on my personal experience so far I find the battery life on the Thunderbolt to be comparable or better to other Droid devices.

Thank you,
Bret
P.S. Long Live Droid!!!

I swear I was thinking the exact same thing this morning...The first day was absolutely terrible, but I had a 1750 mah seidio extenmded battery in my incredible, and I am getting as good or better battery life with my 1430 mah thunderbolt battery than I was with that with the exception of day 1...I killed the battery a few days ago and it took a little over 12 hours and that is using the internet quite a bit and texting during the day...I am not really hating this battery too much right now!

I am thinking of getting a replacement battery is don't think I am getting anywhere close to the op's time

Sent from my 4G LTE Thunderbolt

I took my phone off the charger @ 7:30 this morning, I turned off network data and am using wi-fi @ work. I've had pretty moderate usage today and I'm sitting at 66% right now. I'm happy with the performance so far.

Just to save you a step, you actually do not need to turn off network data. Once the phone connects to a WiFi connection it will turn it off itself. Once it's out of WiFi range it will turn it back on. Try it, leave your network data on and once your in a WiFi network that you've already paired your phone with, you'll see the 4G/3G/1X disappear indicating the radio for the Data network has been disabled. You'll also see the WiFi radiating curved bars appear in it's place indicating that WiFi has successfully been connected. If you still see the G/X indicator and not the WiFi, then that's an indicator that it has not connected to WiFi properly.

mine has been unplugged for 20-30 min now and it still says FULLY CHARGED!!!! my dinc would have been 90% already.

Came from a Dinc as well and at 47%, unplugged for 14 hours. Only have had the phone for a day. Sent about 40 texts, couple of phone calls. Phone was left on all overnight. Dinc would drop like 30% overnight, this was a lot less.

I turned off 4G (not in a 4G area), so I don't know if that is making a difference compared to others in non-4G areas. Whoever uses 4G is getting pounded on battery, but blazing performance at least. ;)

Still need more time to truly tell.

Turning off 4G will make the Thunderbolt closer to the Dinc. Using 4G will suck the battery like a vampire. There is a reason why HTC's next 4G phone will use a battery with 25% or more capacity.
