I think my m8 has a bad battery

Well, that depents on how you are using your phone. If you always play games it's normal. If you just have light usage than there is something wrong with your battery.

Just curious how your phone is. I've been using mine for like 40 minutes straight and had 9% battery drop. Is that normal or too much? I've been browsing on tapatalk, checking Twitter and liking through my settings.

I think thats normal. Mine is about the same. 40 minutes display on and 9% thats more than 7 hours display on and that's good.

Alright, although being down to 42% now after being off the charger for about 5 hours still seems like it drains too quick.

Can you send please a screnn from Gsam?

It says 9 hours but for 3 of them I just unplugged the phone and didn't do anything, so it's more like 6 hours. I've been trying to use it a ton today. And this is the most screen on time I've ever had, you can see the average is just over 2 hours at the bottom.

I know I have a bad batter but im too lazy to take it to my carrier for a few hours for diagnosis. my batter level will be at 20% or higher then randomly die out.. I recharge it for a few minutes then its lit up to green as fully charge (which is impossible to charge that fast)

I just had a similar problem. Yesterday my phone went from ~50% to 1% right before my eyes! It took several hours to charge back up. Then, once it started back up it was stuck in EPSM.

So, I take it to Sprint and they do a full restart/wipe and it was working (is working now). However, I don't want to spend 2 years with a bum phone. So, I took it into another Sprint store to get looked at, signed up for the $11 insurance, and now they are betting me a new phone on Thursday. Then, I will cancel the insurance. And, the guy assured me that since these phones are so new the replacement one will be new, not a referb.

I would say if you have similar issues you get it checked out.

i took mine in yesterday, i already had the insurance, the sales person just called the tech and the tech said to replace it, they didnt even test it. and they also said because its so new i more then likely will get a new one

That looks pretty much on par with I'm getting on my Verizon m8. I get about 5 maybe 6 hours screen time before it needs a charge. I feel like I've done pretty much everything there is to do regarding battery life and I think this is as good as its going to get. Its still much better than any other phone I've had, but not near the life that some of these folks are getting. Maybe its a effing Verizon thing, I'd sure like to have the power saver and extreme power saver modes. :-$
