I think that Google might be penalizing people ordering Pixel 3 through Project Fi

That's not true. First of all this is not a discount that you receive for phone price but in service credit. Secondly it only applies to the people who order the second phone for other NEW person in their family plan and activate it. So very few people will be willing to do this compared to just someone who is buying one phone. I think if the same company is using two subsidiaries to sell a product and using a promotion from one of them is giving you different conditions it's a fraud. Remember if you would buy it from Project Fi WITHOUT this promo it you wouldn't get the extended waiting time.
I have a lot of responses. But the first, and most important question is how can this amount to fraud? Annoying? sure. But what exactly is fraudulent?

Is Englsih your primary language? I'm wondering because it sounds like you may not know what the word means.

I did. This particular act doesn't describe fraud.

This also doesn't seem to apply to this case, even if you are correct. Different pricing strategies are generally ok, even under the act.

Not trying to target him specifically. But he sounds like the angry guy trying return a 10 year old air-conditioner they probably didn't even purchase from Best Buy, and getting angry at the CS rep for not taking it back (saw this happen when I worked there like 20 years ago).

He feels slighted so uses strong words, just like guys on a forum that scream freedom of speech when their posts are deleted. They don't know what it means. Or have the vaguest idea of what it means and thinks that it kind of maybe applies.

Even if this was the case it's not any different than Tesla not shipping stripped Tesla 3's till after they sell a bunch of high spec 70k versions. Or Manufacturer producing mostly full spec products over their lighter spec models. If Google wants to prioritize purchases without discounts over ones with discounts. That's their prerogative. The delivery time is posted prior to purchase the user has the choice to not buy that way, or not buy at all. Sucks. But being slighted or not prioritized for whatever reason isn't illegal and using words that sound legal doesn't make it so.

Your post is entirely incorrect.

I ordered my project fi during the announcement and got a delivery date of Oct 18th with no shipping charge.

What you're seeing is that project fi and Google store have separate warehouses because they are separate entities within alphabet.
