yeah I have usb debugging on and im at the adb folder in terminal

now turn off your phone, and turn it back on by holding ALL THREE together: Vol up, Vol down, and power - keep them pressed until you get to fastboot mode


phone should say start with android on his back btw

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

on the phone, use the volume key to either restart the phone or power off

we need to put the rom (stock 4.04) onto the device before we do recovery

download that, that's 4.04 with root access - so you can test out if you want root, since i can't find the truly stock 4.04, and this will give you an easier option.

if you really dont want root, ill continue looking for the true unrooted stock but this is the same thing but better.

You're going to place that file in the Download folder of your SD card, leave it compressed as it is (don't unzip)

after you have moved it over to your sd card, turn off the phone and restart to the bootloader again - vol up and vol down and power together

while your phone is connected to the cpu via usb - you get the mtp protocol don't you? wehre you can see the files on the "sd card" of the phone?

I can move that file over via the android transfer tool tho to the download folder

You open up android file transfer, and you drag the file to the File Transfer Window (what is in that window is the "sd card" of your phone).

Drag it to any folder it really doesnt matter, i just use the download folder bc it's easiest to remember for me.
