I want to get a good unit, new Nexus on eBay?

I'm still contemplating whether to pick up the GSM version or not, but I'm curious, should I be wary of picking up a completely new Verizon Nexus off eBay?

Any other phone, you'd be completely fine. But I have heard that there are some dud units out there in terms of signal reception. I don't have an upgrade, and if I were to pay full price from Verizon, then I'd almost be better off paying my ETF and going GSM.

I suppose my chances of getting a good phone are just as good, but then I wouldn't be able to exchange if I didn't. Are my concerns valid or is the signal issue not even a problem at this point in time?

Bestbuy has the Verizon version for free right now. Just picked up a second one yesterday as a test phone for new ROMs and stuff. You can't be free!

Yes you CAN be free!

So you signed a two year contract for an extra phone? Or is best buy just giving these away, cause I definitely gotta get in on that!!

Many recommend getting one made in Korea. There's an entire thread about people who have had the ones from China, avoid them...

I meant to type you can't beat free' whoops! But I had an upgrade so I used it on a free nexus. Yes ts a 2 year contract but I program for a living and I'm going to start tinking the the android field instead of the iOS field I have been. But it was just a suggestion.
