I want to restart my phone it wants a password. what can I do to restart it

I bought a samsung 7 recently I set finger print I'm not aware that I set a password. phone went flat. on restart it wants a password before I can use my finger print

Welcome to the forums. You may need to contact Samsung or your carrier on how best to proceed. The password you set is also the one needed to apply a change of password.
