I want to transfer my contacts to my computer.

I have a galaxy s4 and a mac computer.
I want to transfer my contacts to my computer.
I have downloaded android file transfer to the computer,
i am using a galaxy s11 data transfer cable,
the s4 says "connected as a media device"
the computer says "could not connect to advice"
is it possible the transfer cable is the problem, when i look on the internet the cable
is the same for both models. Spent hours now, can anyone please help.

If your contacts are synced to your gmail account you should be able to download them from your gmail contacts.
