I wonder if our DIncs will get the new Sense UI

I gave up on Sense because it tended to restart a lot once I got Froyo on my Incredible. I switched to LauncherPro and their widgets and haven't looked back. I get landscape mode, resizeable widgets and a much more configurable UI.

What does the new Sense UI have that might make me want to switch back?

Unless you rooted and installed a Vanilla ROM, Sense is still running you just aren't using the user interface of it. If you delete the cache it will clear up the FC'ing.

Nothing! That's why I'm running a pure Vanilla AOSP ROM with Launcher Pro.....so much better in my opinion. I used to be a Sense fan until I really got into messing with ROMs......not so much anymore.

Horizontal navigation. That is all it is really missing IMO.

A "nice to have" would be customizable icons on the bottom bar.

You know what? That would be great! The Sense overlay on the Desire Z looks great! And if it were an option, I wouldn't complain!
