I317 Note 2 Screen sleep not working after rooting

[AC Question]

I just rooted my Note 2 last night and now the screen will not sleep. I even downloaded an app that worked in place of using the power button to lock/sleep the screen. It would go black for about 1 second and then immediately wake with pattern lock showing.
I have searched and can not find this issue or a resolution anywhere.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
