Iconia Screen Question

I just purchased the Acer iconia tab yesterday. So far, the tablet is incredible. I have one question. If you position the screen in a specific place, or place it under a bright light, you can see this grid of dots on the screen. Is this normal for the iconia, or is it a manufacturers defect on mine? It doesn't bother me too much, but if it is a defect, I can still exchange the tab for a new one. Thanks!

it's my understanding that it's used for multi-touch.

Thanks, the screen itself is definitely amazing. Btw, is it gorilla glass? I read so where that it is.
