ICS.....05/09/12.....well?

Funny but somehow not surprising at the same time.

Especially considering who the ISP's are. I remember when I first got DSL and was laughing at people for using their cable company as their ISP. I still am laughing but I guess I'm the fool for wanting my phone company to be my cable provider.

Nope, either you're no fool, or I'm one with ya. DSL is so much better. Like the difference between HTC and Moto.

:D:D

okay I got the file now what is that I need to do to install it I know I need to rename it but somewhere it mentioned about checking md 5 can someone please explain the proper way to installo this

Either check my post in the root section or this quick version
rename the file to PH98IMG.zip
Put it on the external SD card(/sdcard2/)
reboot into HBOOT(Power down, power up holding volume down + power)

Make sure to flash it twice or else it won't work right.

ok just to get this right I'm gonna rename the file I'm going to put it on my external sd card then I'm going to press volume down and power to get it to flash and when that's done I do the volume down and power a second time correct ? what about that md5 thing that I saw mentioned elsewhere

MD5 sums are just a numerical series of numbers. Used to double check to make sure the file matches up and it's not a square peg in a round hole. If you've renamed, move it from the download folder and place it on the root of the ext_sd, making sure not to place it in any folder. From there, power off completely, when you power back up. Press both thevol. rocker down and power button down simultaneously and hold them down till it launches into hboot. From there it will do it's thing.

P.S. If you have files on your int_sd place them on the ext_sd or transfer onto a pc. It will wipe those files if left there during install.

Will this root the phone without unlocking, I'm thinking about it as well but don't want to mess up my phone.

Sent from my busa!

The version Leosdad installed is strictly meant for use stock, locked phones. It does not require unlocking or rooting to install. It functions just like you pulled an OTA before it was prompted to install like official ota updates will.

Internal & phone, yes. External, no. It will wipe everything except the ext_sd. Whereas, the officual ota should not.
I
Just downloaded it and it says Windows can't open the file.

If you downloaded it w/ Windows, rename it and put it on ext_sd and get off the pc. This is manually done by phone alone if your stock. No need for windows to extract the .zip for the Rezound.

Thorough instructions are found here, by courteousy of MrSmith317.
