Obviously the update isn't ready yet. I had the update is ready notification once, and when the update program searched for it to download, it gave me an error.

Right i understand that..that's when i put it into download mode and hit restart and everything went smoothly..im guessin its not am update..cuz when i tried it again just now starting from download mode from the start..it tells me.."my phone has the latest software version"

My LG Mobile support tool notifed me that I had new software update for my LG viper but the thing is I can't get it to install it always give me an error problem commucating between the phone and computer why is that? I have tried it on my other pc as well same thing. I have installed all the drivers and reinstalled lg mobile support. It starts to up date it gets to 36 percent then jumps to 50 percent then gives me that error any one see this before. LG says it is because no new updates are ready please help

Is your phone in download mode (turn phone off, plug in usb cable, hold power up key until it says downloading do not disconnect cable)?? and can you get me a screen shot of the main program page to see that it is saying you are ready for an update??

I always get then message first then I hit start downloading which brings me to this screen
