When i get that screen mine just says the latest version is already installed. Is your phone sitting on a flat surface when you are trying to update and make sure you are not moving it at all. The smallest wiggle can make it disconnect

My LG Mobile support tool notifed me that I had new software update for my LG viper but the thing is I can't get it to install it always give me an error problem commucating between the phone and computer why is that? I have tried it on my other pc as well same thing. I have installed all the drivers and reinstalled lg mobile support. It starts to up date it gets to 36 percent then jumps to 50 percent then gives me that error any one see this before. LG says it is because no new updates are ready please help

If you put your phone in download mode when you get the error..and then hit restart...it will continue to update..but nothing happens..just stats the same ole ginger bread

Butt..if you initially start in download mode..tge support tool will say your phone had the current software and no need for an update...it only says you need an update when the phone is actually on

The download that it is pulling is zvd_02, the same thing that is already on our phones. Or at least thats what mine pulled

ZVD is 225.02 Mb. If that's the size of the download its not ics update.

Yea thats the size of it..that's why i got excited cuz for some reason i thought it was 198 mb

make sure the usb cable is plugged in as well, if no usb cable, no download mode.

ZVD is 225.02 Mb. If that's the size of the download its not ics update.

I know it is ZVD since the name of the file it downloads is ls840zvd_02.zip

Power phone off, plug usb cable in from computer to cell phone, hold vol up and power at the same time until a screen appears saying download mode is in progress with an lg logo. when it appears let go of the buttons and now your phone is in download mode.

Turn the phone off. At the same time plug in the usb cord press and hold the power button and the volume up. That will put you in download mode.

I did that it completed the download but when I run the lg support tool it says every time new software ready I run it and it gives me the error I told you about what's the deal? Will this update be ota I hope this is so damn confusing

With the usb plugged in and the LG tool open turn the phone off and back on.
