I wonder why? I mean the sprint website is showing 4.0 i dont think they sold alot of these devices. You would think that they would be willing to push an update pretty quick since the biggest complaint that i have seen this phone get is the lack of ics

So I went to the sprint store just now to have them push my update and they wont do it, say they don't have it yet, and that the website may have been updated a bit early. Lame....

Oh I bet they had it. Sprint employee didn't want too get into trouble. has anyone been prompt with a system update. If u have been I might be able too check too see if it a true system update

I unrooted and went to the "corporate" store yesterday. To return a POS Airrave that they mailed me and to complain about receiving all my texts only once a day at the same time. Also anyone else notice that the texts lose the time received at midnight.. I mentioned that phone support said they should be able to fix that with the update. They checked and it was not on their computers yet and said the update will still be OTA the middle of next month.

I was told Oct 24th . So I guess that about makes sense in regards too OTA Push

I saw this the other day to. But if you got there now it is back to 2.3 the sprint rep told me they don't know why it got taken away or when 4.0 will come out.

They posted too early that LG Viper 4G LTE was android 4.0 . Me and N0va let them know that the page at sprint.com was incorrect. I was told a certain date. But I dont think they even know at this point. But I feel that our phone could handle JB with no issues. Just like my wife has LG Optimus Elite she isn't getting ICS. her phone has everything too handle a ICS update. LG is very slow about pushing updates. HTC is very famous for pushing updates before most companies think about doing improvents

As of today, Sprint site shows LS840ZVD. I was in chat with NatalieB from Sprint yesterday, she stated that she see's LG has released an ICS ( LS840ZVG), however Sprint has not officially updated, and she has np idea when they plan on doing so,

Well folks, It's October and we suppose to get the ICS this month. I guess it time for LG and Sprint too do there magic and give us our release this month. The question becomes now will the release occur or are we going too see a excuse why it can't happen. If anyone gets the update please post a logcat with download link. If no one has posted the download link before i get i will post the link and guide how too do a manual install. have a great day folks

When the opti s got gb it was so buggy they had to pull it and release a fixed version a few months latrr. I dont think lg and sprint do very well with major os upgrades. Heres hoping the same doesnt happen to the viper.

Kinda new here, been lurking for a while.Am i to assume that ICS will be coming to the Viper this month or is that just speculation.
I emailed L.G. and Sprint about any ICS update for this phone and got the same carbon copy answer they have given everyone else.
Also the specs on this phone would seem to support J.B. anyone think that would happen or is that just to much to ask from Sprint/L.G.

I agree the viper could handle JB anyday of the week. Why LG and Sprint chose ICS is beyond me. Welcome too the forum

I don't know if it helps but there is an lgls840zvg rdf file on Google that list 4.0.4 as the os
