The Xoom LTE soak test started about 10 days ago, or about a week after the Wi-fi soak did. Hopefully there's a similar lag in the Wi-fi and LTE public updates as well...

Did the soak for the LTE Xoom actually start 10 days or week ago? or was it just the invites for the "project" that went out 10 days ago? (I think it was just the invites, and the soak hasn't started yet)

I'm in Atlanta, and still nothing here....I will have a ton of dead pixels because of the amount of times I have pressed "Check Now"..lol
NE Ohio and No ICS love here, day one purchase as well. Hopefully the download will pop up tonight sometime on the forums

Yeah, it is slower than previous updates. I actually have the zip file from this forum that was the soak test and I understand it is the same as the OTA that's rolling out. I wanted to wait before I flashed it myself to actually get the OTA, but if no ICS by late tonight, I'm gonna just flash it myself. I got the file by googling "ota ics xoom" and it lead me to the Android Central article that explains how to do it.
Ne Ohio mentor no love yet. Hell I order an otg cable that should be in my hands by Friday. Either way I should have ice by the weekend. Ota or by otg cable, any takers on which one wins out?
people people people... there is NO rhyme to reason on your area. its random, one person in seattle could get it and the next in florida, then the next in alaska. it does not matter on your area. it could come at anytime and any location
why spend money on a cord that is maybe used once to have it "NOW" or wait till it rolls out and it will, for FREE?? dont make sense now does it?

I agree. I already had the OTG long before ICS. I bought it about 6 months ago, a few months after I got my Xoom, for other reasons (and before 3.2.1 and SD card access). I can do the OTG thing, but wanna wait a little while longer for the OTA.
heh, we have this discussion everytime an update comes up
to cement that; I'm in the caribbean right now and got the update this morning, on a standard US xoom
Mine was waiting for me when I got home from work. It was a little laggy still so I did a full factory wipe and only downloaded essential apps for now.
This update is awesome. What I have been waiting for. My Xoom was starting to lag hard, especially the keyboard when typing on websites, now its fast and snappy and like others have said a whole new tablet.
This is why I love Android.
