ICS rolling out to general population of wifi xooms

Here is the ota location but I'm thinking it won't be very useful because I'd assume you'd still need an otg capable to install it.

I have received the update in Chicago yesterday and I love it. I've had the xoom wifi since it was released and I've had a chance to see the the android experience become the premier phone and tablet OS. ICS OFFICIALLY puts the xoom ahead of the ipad2. ICS multitasking alone blows apple out the water...... my xoom feels how it should have at the date of release

I got up at 4am and I had the Ota update. New Ohio mentor Ohio. The one thing I notice is no more lag on browser. Wifi stay connected also wifi signal is like what is on most smart phones.
I ordered the cable damn could have saved 6$.

got it last night around 11pm CT. it's a nice upgrade but i still can't save files to the external sd card ("Permission Denied") :(

This is good news. Hopefully the official Xoom LTE version will get the update soon.

i just recived my OTA, if you are still waiting for yours go into app manage and clear stats of google services freamwork, force close it, restart the tablet and check for updates now:D

The update crashed my wifi Xoom. Any ideas on what to do next?

Crashed in what way? It won't book? If not, look into this forum or XDA forums on ways to return to Honeycomb. You did just try to reboot it? I'll assume you have the WiFi only version of the XOOM as this IS NOT for the 3g/LTE version.

Accepted the update, rebooted but got stuck on the exclamation icon screen. Reboots leave it on the Motorola screen.
I did some reading & found the method to load it from USB drive. I will try that when I get home.
Yes, mine is wifi only. Should I remove the SD card? Saw somewhere that it might interfere with the upgrade.

Yes, try removing the SD card. You should definitely remove it if you use the OTG (USB drive) method.

Updated yesterday. Other than the frequent Opera Browser lockups when viewing Flash content and occasional clunkiness playing some games it doing well. I especially like the folder feature.

Tried the clearing google services method, and no luck on my Family Edition.

Do we think maybe the update for the FEs is coming at a later date?

My browser is running ridiculously slow since the update. I tried restarting a few times, but still no better. Any ideas?
