Anyone else checking all of the forums every morning waiting for that first beta release of ICS for the bolt? Every morning the first sites i check are here, rootz & xda to see if there is a beta release out yet, or at least an alpha with data working. It seems like the 4G data is the thing that takes the longest to work out with the bolt. Right now I'm running the ics theme on cm7 and love the interface look. I'm really looking forward to showing off the face lock screen. What's the feature you are looking forward to in ics?

Just saw this on ROOTZWIKI

Yeah that's been up for a couple weeks now. But the 3g/4g data isn't working, still in alpha stage. I'm anxiously awaiting a daily driver ics.

You'll be waiting awhile then. There is no kernel source or HTC drivers for ICS. We won't see a stable build until then. Cyanogenmod doesn't even have an official GB release for the Bolt, not likely we'll see CM9 anytime soon either. You're better off hoping that HTC will have an official release of ICS rather than messing with buggy ports.

There will be a daily driver ICS ROM by the new year, mark my words. I've been running CM7 for months and it doesn't need to be official to be a solid ROM.

Gotcha :) I'm looking for data, wifi, calling, sms/mms & gps to get along as a daily driver for myself.

What you're really waiting for is an ICS build for the Rezound. Once that's out, most of the tools needed to port the OS to the TBolt (like HTC drivers) will probably be available.

Until then, don't expect anything too spectacular.

(but what do I know???)

I am still waiting for a full working Sense 3.5 ROM for the TB because the ones out there are nice but not ready for a daily use when you need the system to work... ICS really hasn't interest me because everything the software add (Other than face lock screen) I can do now with my device being rooted and 3rd party apps.

Why would you settle for less than full functionality of every thunderbolt function available in stock rom?

Stock rom is large, clunky, buggy and does not allow me to do the things I want to do with my phone. I don't know if I stay with ics once a rom meets my specifications listed above, but I'll give it a go for a couple days.

I'm running CM7 and it does all that I want for my 'bolt. There will be an ICS build with working data by Christmas if not New Year's Day.

+1
I totally agree. Unless ICS does something spectacular and different a cool, I probably won't be in a hurry to get it. If all it does is make things look cooler and fancy things.....ehhh, I can take it or leave it.

I am running Infected Eternity 3.5 right now and am very happy with it (after they fixed the download bug).

More than likely, I will not get ICS until I get my next phone next year sometime.

It was just posted under the ics thread on rootz. They are still working on getting data working, specifically 4g. Once they get data going I'll load it up and see how it rides.

I did see that there is a full system dump of the verizon nexus galaxy posted up last night, so hopefully that will help work things out.
