ICS will roll out June 27, 28, 29 depending on your location

Man, did it start getting hot in this room?

The release announcement was made by another Verizon employee that did not have all the information again. I believe Verizon suffers the same problem so many large companies suffer - bad internal communications. When you have bad internal communications it will leak out to your customers (wrong information, incomplete information). Verizon needs to be more transparent with their communications to us consumers. Something other than a scanned PDF document that is not controlled and out of date as soon as it is scanned (welcome to QS9000).

While I feel slighted that the release hasn't been made available to everyone, although Verizon said it was, I'm not going to stand here and damn either company. Overall they are solid American companies that have the same issues all large companies have. Trust me, I work in a large company who's #1 customer is GM. We run into this all the time.

Back to my silent suffering...

I updated to ics on sunday morning.... But now my phone is not picking up 3g or 4g.... Any help.... And what about the screenshot capabilities?????

To take a screen shot hold the power button and the volume down key together for 1 to 2 seconds

Of course, for all the people impatiently waiting, there's always the manual install. It's become relatively simple to do. I mean, it's either that or wait. :) It's been said, it will come to you when it does... Or you could take matters into your own hands and run the risks that come with it :D

Regardless, ICS is here and it's not just talk anymore.

That type of thinking is way too logical and mature....we will have none of that here!!!

(tongue firmly implanted in cheek for those that don't understand sarcasm)

Lmao! As Eddie Murphy would say "I have some ice cream, you wanna lick? Psyche !"
But dammit I am seriously getting tired of waiting. Its hot out, I want my ICE CREAM ! :-)

Hey, you are on a forum full I'd nerds and geeks, please remember to end your sarcasm with /sarcasm

Don't count your chicks before they hatch. The update is still in the "Testing" phase, and a general rollout hasn't begun. Soak testing could last for another week for all we know.
When that OTA notification pops up for all of us, then we can sing victory.

I know of one person that has had ICS pushed to their RAZR Maxx and is NOT a member of the Motorola Feedback Network. Haven't checked in with all of the RAZR owners I know yet though.

Counting that and Verizon's press release (which states rollouts begin on 6/22), I'd say Motorola has hit their scheduled date.

DROID RAZR - ICS Upgrade rollout begins in Q2 2012.
DROID RAZR MAXX - ICS Upgrade rollout begins in Q2 2012.

If you want semantics: "begins in Q2"

Victory.

Well, unless I'm the person you were referring to, now you know 2. Got mine 6/23 at 5:30am Eastern.

Yeah, I believe it was mentioned that outside the soak testers, a random group of phones were sent the OTA as well.

I don't get how 10% of people having ICS means we all have ICS, but whatever math helps you sleep at night is alright with me I guess.

Edit: I think many of us assumed that their rollout meant to the public, not "rollout begins in Q2...for testers."

Here's the thing. Rollouts started. Motorola said they would begin in Q2 2012.

Just because ICS hasn't been pushed out to every single RAZR and RAZR Maxx yet doesn't make "Rollouts begin in Q2 2012" a false statement.

People outside of the MFN test group have ICS now. The rollout is happening and just because you don't have it yet doesn't mean Motorola or Verizon is lying to you.

I don't know if you're ignoring the fact that the people outside of MFN are another test group, or if you just didn't know. Again, it could "rollout" to 3 people and have that "rollouts begin" statement be true, but don't treat it as if ICS is officially here for the general public. As far as the development cycle goes, it is still in testing

The test group outside of MFN have no idea that they're a "supposed" test group.

Rollouts started and you don't have it yet. Are you really that upset that other non-MFN users got it before you?

I'm unsure where you got the idea I was angry, but you're starting to get into troll bait territory, so I'll save myself the possible infraction from playing along and end it.
Fact is, ICS is still in testing according to Moto, and official OTA rollout has not begun. I'm not very sure how that could be argued otherwise.

Must have the last word, huh?

Fact is that in addition to MFN, Verizon rolled out ICS to a select group of users. Verizon even announced it.

These users have no idea some guy in the internet sees them as testers.

The ICS rollout has begun and the publicly available information backs that up.

Fellas, is this really productive? Come on, we're all on the same team. Everyone will get ICS soon, and we'll all (hopefully) be happy. It's just a matter of days.

Tonight, a Verizon rep, reading from materials on her computer (not just making s*&t up), told me that it could be as long as 10 days from the release date (the 22nd) for everyone to receive the update.

This, I believe.
