With ICS on the horizon, will I be able to update my Xoom WiFi, without waiting for Motorola and without rooting?

Here's what I think. The wifi gets the updates first before the 3g/4g for some reason. I think the wifi will get it first. The 3/4g will have to use the wifi someone will put together for a rooted Xoom. Not sure how quick we will see it released after announced.

Wifi should get it first because it does not have to be tested and bloated up by the carriers.

3 and 4G models are not bloated either, the Xoom is a GED.

Yea never got bloat on a update before. Or added blur. Stock it be but it does come later than wifi. My guess is to make sure 3g 4g play nice.

It has to be cleared by Verizon's qad and then any changes have to come from Motorola and it starts all over again and it may be even longer for those without the 4g update.
