If I buy an M8 from HTC, do I get to return it?

I think AT&T gives 12 days to return a phone for any reason.
If I buy unlocked directly from HTC, can I return it for any reason within a certain period?
If the volume rocker is loose, or some other small item, will that take it back?

Only a small percentage of the m8s are defective. Most are flawless or have very minor problems that don't affect the over all use of the phone.
