It usually does depending on how many go applications you've installed I remember having a bit older smart phone with out of date specs and the go applications drained that battery twice as fast, I decided to reset my phone and start from scratch, on my new android I still would not trust it, its like running another firmwear version on your phone at the same time plus the other go applications as messaging or lock screen both the stock phone and go apps would run at the same time taking up battery so I say yes but It depends on your phones specs as well such as the processor and ram if you have enough and you phone can handle it then there will be little change
