Just trying to figure out why this happens, if I'm on the phone with person a and person b calls I'll hear the initial ring hit ignore it should send that call to voicemail. However what happens to me is I'll hear the initial ring swipe left to ignore and send it to vm but it keeps ringing the option to answer the call is now gone but I hear the beeps letting me know a call is coming in. Person b also hears ringing like the call hasn't been ignored until the voicemail picks up like 5-6 rings later. I'm using the nexus 6 on Sprint is there anyway to fix this? It's causing me a few problems I'd rather not deal with.

Go to Settings>>Sound & notification>>Interruptions. Under Priority interruptions, check if the slider for "Calls" is set to Off. If not, slide it to set it off(grey colour). Try this and see if it helps.

It was off but thanks anyway.

Anyone else?

I wonder if the other person has their, "you can't ignore me" setting on? That or your phone doesn't know what it means to ignore.

I have the same issue. I can't remember if I had it on my s3 too but I definitely have it in my m8.
