My Best Buy is thankfully totally on the ball. I went there finally tonight to see if they had any information, just so I knew so I didn't end up missing out or something. As I walk in and talk to the first guy in the mobile department, he tells me the main girl who runs that department is actually calling people right now.

I walk over there and she is literally just hanging up the phone from calling me and leaving me a voicemail. I pull out my cell phone and see the missed call (my radio in the car had been too loud and I hadn't put my phone on vibrate like I usually do). So overall, that timing was cool.

Already I have a good feeling about all this. She tells me they don't know when they are getting the phones, and won't even say that tomorrow or Friday are most likely (which I respect, since she doesn't know) and says that usually she would have a tracking number if anything was on the way but she has nothing at all. We talked for like 15 minutes and she told me that tomorrow they had a big mandatory meeting across the stores at 11am and she figures it'll be about this stuff.

She told me that if you get the Black Tie Insurance for $10 a month that you can get the Buyback program for $30 instead of $60, and you still could cancel the Black Tie after the first month. I'm definitely going to get both, since if I was going to drop and break my phone it'd probably be sometime when I first get it and still am getting comfortable with it (along with the fact that I'm waiting for Otterbox to make a case for it, so I won't have a case on it at first either).

I also saw just now when I got home that a Best Buy memo has leaked that says pretty much everything the girl told me, except the memo is more confident ti'll come tomorrow or Friday. She told me, just like the memo says, that the moment they get the phones in, they'll be calling me. They won't be holding it till the next day or anything like that.

She was a huge fan of HTC and Evo and brought me around to the back of the desk and got out the dummy version of the Evo LTE and let me hold it. As she took me back there she told me she was going to "spoil me". :3

I'm very happy my Best Buy is on the ball and this nightmare is almost over.

I am in Louisville and am keeping my fingers crossed that the Best Buy I orderered from will get theirs in tomorrow. I was the 2nd preorder at that paticular store....

I don't care when it is anymore, I'm just glad to know there's nothing I have to worry about. That was the only thing I ever had a problem with. I am a patient person, but if things are happening and not being communicated, that's when I get frustrated. If I know the plan and the thing is just t wait, then that's totally fine.

I pre-ordered at the BB in St. Matthews but I have no idea where I fall in their queue of orders. Since I work just a couple of miles down the road from that store, I too hope they get a shipment and that they can cover all their pre-orders. St. Matthews or Outer Loop for you?

From what I could see of the sheet the girl was calling people from, it looked like there was only 4 or 5 people on the list. Not sure how many each person had ordered though. I had two set for my pre-order, but I'm only getting one now.

As the leaked BB memo showed, they're expecting shipment either Thursday or Friday. Which makes sense since most people who pre-ordered from Sprint have gotten email notifications and tracking numbers, which indicate expected delivery on Thursday.

This is a total guess on my part, but Sprint probably shipped out the phones to people who pre-ordered from them first (there might be a cutoff date), then out to third-party retailers like Best Buy, Radio Shack, WireFly, Amazon, etc., to try and fill their pre-orders.

Since most Sprint pre-orders are expected to arrive on Thursday, it's a fair bet that most third-party retailers are going to get theirs on Thursday, as well.

Yea, earlier today when I got into work, I got curious and decided to check the employee news in regards to the EVO LTE, and saw that memo. Nearly shed a tear of joy. Pre-Orders fulfilled ASAP, the rest to be sold at a TBD date. I hope my store gets them on the 24th.

I ordered mine the 15th, it's been backordered on Bestbuy ever since, I have sporadically gotten emails about the new release date, and the retraction of that release date, but since then, nothing. No credit card charge, no shipping, nothing. I paid for the express shipping ($4.99) but nothing on top of that. When am I going to see my phone?

I cancelled my Best Buy online order last night and pre-ordered in a local best buy mobile store. I won't be home to get a delivery Friday and was told that the orders would be in Thursday or Friday in the store. I was also told that I had 13 people in front of me but I felt better knowing that information then being backordered on line with no information. Even if I get my phone Monday, I'm happier being able to pick it up then wait on it. Plus I'm paying $50+ dollars for the phone with discounts and selling my OG EVO back to Best Buy for $100!!!

That's what I'm saying, preorders done in store or online should be handled the same, they are to be releasing them today to customers who preordered instore? What about me? For you guys in Louisville, I just talked to the ST Matthews Best Buy and the guy told me they would get them today, he just doesn't know when. If they get them early enough, they will call people in the order that they placed their preorder to set an apointment. If they come after 9:00 PM, we will have to wait until tomorrow. I was number 2 so I am keeping my fingers crossed. He alo said that they shoul get enough to cover the preorders...
