No, you have the option to decline coverage on Samsungs site, you are free to purchase whatever insurance you want.

OK tks guys that what I thought just wanted to make sure, there was a 6 hour wait on the phone to ask Samsung that question, the guy that answered was clueless and transferred me.
I purchased thur Samsung but hope I really never have to deal with them
