If you're getting the 6P -- Why (or why not)?

Re: Who's getting the 6p?

Hi guys can I just ask are Huawei a decent make as (don't laugh) but I hadn't heard of them before and at present I have a Sony Xperia Z3 which is nice but for me Sony phones are far too square in shape and extremely uncomfortable in your jeans pocket, I really want a bigger screen and it is a choice between the Moto X Style or possibly the Nexus 6 but it comes down to cost as well as I buy my phones unlocked and don't like paying too much for one as the deals on the current Nexus 6 are tempting as I can pick one up for £300 but I have read reviews that say the screen can get burn in and the display colours aren't that brilliant so I have no idea what to do :)

Don't believe the hype about burn in. It's pure garbage. My phone is on constantly and i have no such issues with burn in. the display is not as bright as the iphone or the Samsung, but viewed by itself, it's pretty awesome. Just don't go doing side by side comparisons to the galaxies and iphones.

Ahh ok I am assuming you have the Nexus 6?

Nexus 6 since Day One.
No burn in at all. Still looks good and running fast.

Re: Who's getting the 6p?

I think im returning my moto x for this. There is always on google.. thats the feature I want.!

Re: Who's getting the 6p?

I'll get a 6p as soon as they update the device section on the play store. The page doesn't even load atm. When are they supposed to go on sale anyway?

Re: Who's getting the 6p?

I'm definitely getting it! I'm interested to learn more about the cameras, but I like all the specs I saw and the design looks much better than I was originally thinking.

Re: Who's getting the 6p?

$699 for 32GB in Canada. No thanks. I don't need a new phone that bad. I'll keep my N5 for now.

Re: Who's getting the 6p?

I am also worried about the 5.7" screen.

I do a lot of traveling, walk around a lot with my phone in my pocket. I also walk a lot while looking down at my phone.

I wish it was 5.5"

They announced the N6P has the same footprint as most 5.5" phones out there. No biggie. But I'm staying with my Nexus 6 '14. It's crazy fast and I love the big screen. I'm waiting to see what 2016 brings from Google.

Yeah same here. We're getting marshmallow next week I believe.

Yea, I have the OG Nexus 5 and am looking forward to getting Marshmallow next week. But the 6P is a significant enough upgrade for me that I went ahead and pre-ordered. Particularly interested in a Nexus with a premium camera and 128GB of storage. Not to mention it does look like really premium quality in general.

Re: Who's getting the 6p?

What is your estimate shipping date? Mine is in the beginning of November.....

Re: Who's getting the 6p?

I just pre-ordered the 6p. It has everything I'm looking to replace on my opo! It's camera better rock, though!

I agree, but I'm eager to see how the 6P holds up in reviews over the next month.

Google might have sold me on the camera if they had compared its low-light images to similar images from one of the recent Samsung's or the G4. Comparing it to the 2014 N6 instead (without clarifying +/- HDR for the N6 pic) seemed almost mean.

The chatter about the Sensor Hub was the most intriguing info from the event for me. But overall, my takeaway was that Google was hot to open up new revenue streams. I mean, they're even dipping a toe into insurance with Nexus Protect.
