Ignore calls with Nexus

I am wondering if there is a quick way to send an incoming call to voicemail when the phone is in a holster. I read that pressing the volume down button mutes the incoming call, but the caller still hears the phone ringing. I keep my phone in an Otterbox holster and sometimes I don't want to remove the phone to physically swipe the phone icon to ignore a call. On other phones I've used, there has been a quick button press to ignore a call. Does the Nexus have a feature like that. I'd appreciate any information.

That does the same thing as the volume control, it mutes the ringer sound but doesn't send the call immediately to the voicemail. Unless I am totally clueless. Thanks

Right.just tried it.send e like only way to do it is but looking at the phone and using the slider screen.

There is an accessibility function setting for the power button to end a call i think. Would that do it?

Great suggestion, but that didn't work either, I guess swiping the phone icon physically to ignore seems to be the only way to do it.
