I'm About to Upgrade to the Note 9

I've been using a ring on the back of my S9+ and it's made ALL the difference in how well I'm able to hold onto my phone and hold on to it more comfortably. My hands are too small to use any smartphone one handed so that's not a reason to not choose a particular phone. I'm not expecting any issues with the size of the Note 9 due to using the ring. It's really made all the difference in the world!

Curious, do you use a wireless charger?

I do not. I'm fairly certain I can't with the ring. I had to make a decision which was more important and the ease of holding onto my phone in situations where it would have been impossible or more likely to have fallen to it's death, way out weighed the wireless charging. And life just got 38% sweeter! I've SO missed Samsung's "Air View" I think it was called since my Galaxy 5. I guess I was the only person that used it. I never came across anyone else that missed it after the S5....the Note 9 has it!!! Of course you have to use the S-Pen vs your finger but that's ok. Maybe the Note series has had it all along. My Galaxy Note 2014 tab has it.

I'm in love with my new phone. Can't seem to put it down long enough to go to bed :o Haven't found the perfect case for it yet. Till that happens and I get a screen cover on it, I won't rest. But...life just got about 38% sweeter :) I've really missed the "Air View" feature of my Galaxy S5. I didn't see anyone complain about the S7 not having it so I guess i was the only one that used it :o It's great to have it back with the S-Pen...and the camera remote with the S-Pen...sweet! Super slow motion is twice as long as with the 9+ and I'm excited to see how long that 4000mA battery lasts. Have a ton of Note 9 YT videos to watch. Can't imagine anyone "down"grading from the Note 9 to the 9+ :o

Congrats, Monica.
Did you get the 128GB or the 512GB?

128. That's the beauty of expandable storage :) It's hard to believe that my first desktop computer came with a "massive 256MB hdd" LOL I know I missed out on two more gigs of ram but I'm confident six is plenty for my needs.

LOL - glad you’re loving it. How on earth did you come up with 38%? ??????

I didn't, my husband did. He just used it once as an exaggeration (don't even remember what he was referring to 10 to 15 years ago) and the number stuck. "I've got 38 loads of laundry to fold!" etc. Just a inside joke, nothing scientific ;)

I'm guessing that's the bump in battery specs? ??????

No, that's how much quality the Air View feature added to my total Samsung Experience :) I haven't had it since the S5 when just hovering your finger over (for example) a calendar date gave a pop-up preview of that date without changing screens. Works with other apps to but that's the biggie for me.

I'd prefer S9+ over N9 bc I'm a Field Svc Engineer, on the road most of the time
and it fit to my N5 case perfectly..
Note 9 is obnoxiously tall and it's awfully bad to move around.
BTW.. S9+ has everything I need and $300.00 less ... Go figure

I got my Note 9 for $300 off, plus Verizon is taking back my husband's Pixel 2 XL that he's had since April (payment plan) and is calling it even. We didn't lose any money on the deal, just what we've paid so far, and $300 off the Note 9. The Note won't be a problem for me to hold because I use a phone ring. It changes everything :)
