I give up. Ive been trying to root for months. Tried on my Inc, which worked but for some reason stopped when i tried to root again. I figured my phone was the problem so when i got the TB i gave it a shot. Still no dice. The phones refuses to show up in Terminal. No matter what setting i have. USB Debugging, charge only, disk drive, etc. I figured maybe it's my mac. SO i used my friends PC. Downloaded the files, tried to Root. Got to the command window, STILL won't find my phone. So i said, maybe its my cable(even though ive used 2 different ones). Bought a new cable, still won't work. Just what the heck is the deal? I hear all the great things i can do with root, but for some reason, im screwed. Now i have verizon sending me another Thunderbolt. I don't understand why this is happening. Probably the part that ticks me off worse is the fact that it used to work. I actually rooted my incredible a few times on my mac. Just one time i tried it, it stopped showing up in unrevoked. Gah!

Hang in there Titan... we'll get you straightened out! Maybe this new phone will let you. Strange you couldn't do it. You sure no one put a curse on you... :p!

It's just so irritating. I don't get what the problem is. When i plug my phone in, it shows up. Im able to sync music and all that. It's just when it comes to rooting and using terminal or command, it decided to screw up.

did you install HTC sync on the PC?

On the PC i used the cables in the back, on my man i used all 3 of my ports. Ive used 3 different cables as well.

I did that method. It's not that i don't have the files or settings. It's just my phones won't work.

Alright i got my new thunderbolt. Tried to root. Still didn't work. So to summarize. It's not the phone, not the cable, not the computer since i tried on both a mac and pc, and not my settings. I have debugging on and have tried with both charge only and disk drive. I don't even know what to say.

Can you not access your SD card from computer? Does adb not show a serial number for your bolt?

I just don't understand what could be the problem. I mean the fact that ive rooted before and have used multiple devices and computers just has me dumbfounded. I mean usb debugging is checked. What else could it be?
