I GOT IT WORKING!!!! IM SO STUPID! I went digging around in corys mac root threat and saw someone mention having easytether installed. I did. I deleted it off my mac and VOILA! TB in terminal and rooting as we speak. Thank you all for your help. I LOVE this community. Now im off to enjoy the fruits of my labor! Thanks guys!

Now that im rooted. I tried to make a nandroid backup. But when i do, all it does is boot into hboot. Doesn't take me to the black screen to backup. I did the flash recovery mod thing and still no dice. Im thinking about unrooting and starting over. But idk how on a mac

You can boot into Clockwork Recovery From The Hboot screen, Just use you volume keys and i belive it just stays recovery and then from there you can preform a nandroid backup

Gives you an option for things you'd like to do/install. Just use volume to scroll to RECOVERY and you're good to go.

Oh also... if you haven't removed that P05IMG0.zip thing from your SD card now that you're rooted, go ahead and either move it off the sdcard or delete it. Because HBOOT will see that every time and keep trying to install it. It won't even give you the option to go into recovery until you do this.
