I'm giving up on this phone.

I think it's a great phone but I doubt we will ever have a fully working recovery. Until that happens, we are so limited on what we could ever do.

I really appreciate the friends I made here and the support and team work I recieved. I wish all of you luck with your pursuit and I will check in from time to time to see how you are doing.

That's a bummer. Hopefully when it drops on Boost someone who knows what they're doing picks one up and ports the Blacks recovery. Seems like a fairly simple thing if you know what's what.

what did you decide to get instead?

tcaudill01,

would you mind sharing the fruits of your progress? The previous post you made indicated that were able to install something you had deodexed. That sounded promissing. It'd be a shame for all your hard work to go to waste...

Thanks!

The download links were posted here for close to two months.
Dishe had downloaded all of my files, not sure if he still has them. Contact him and see.
Deodexing isn't very hard. Use this guide and you shouldn't have any problems.

I actually went with the Motorola XPRT. It's not as stylish or media oriented, but it works better in a business enviroment and I love having the keyboard. I've already deodexed and themed the rom. You can see the fruits of my labor in the XPRT forum on here.

Sorry guys, but buying/selling outside the Marketplace forum is against forum rules. If you need to speak to one another personally, please use PMs. Thanks.

Ah, I thought deodexing resulted in a flashable zip. Silly me.

So I read up on the whole thing. Have you tried following this guide: My Brain Hurts: Porting Clockwork Recovery to New Devices

Seems pretty straight forward. I'm currently trying to get a cheap second-hand Maruqee and I will probably try this once I have one (perhaps after waiting an appropriate length of time to give the Boost devs a chance first, since following a guide blindly does not equal to knowing what I'm doing...)

have you heard back from any boost devs interesting in working for this phone i am a bit surprised by the lack of support.
