Don't get me wrong, this forum is amazing and I love everything about it. But in recent months I've been suffering from terrible depression (which I refuse to get diagnosed). The pressure of college and life im general is overwhelming me. You've probably noticed that I struggle to properly write and explain my thoughts debate arguments here, be it on a tech debate or the occasional politics debate (it was BTW a mistake to discuss politics on this forum, but I can't undo that now). Part of that, aside from the annoying depression, is that I put what little I have left of my energy into writing better stuff elsewhere and passionately/smartly promoting various tech/politics stuff that I love on social media. I frequently come to the forums half asleep and sometimes in a very sad state after a debate on social media and the come off grumpy when I post. I just need a break from the AC forums for a while so that I can sort out my school stuff and various other tech/politics related stuff with one less thing to worry about and obsessively check 24/7 for responses fearing constantly that the whole forum might end up one day hating me for my grumpily/badly-explained alternative opinions on tech and other stuff (I know this will never happen but depressed people are paranoid).

Be sure that I will come back at some point when I feel that I can post in a happy manner again. Sorry if anyone will miss me and my technical knowledge, helpfulness and all the other stuff various moderators here have praised me for.

This forum is like family to me. Shout out to @Kirstein Gourlay, @Rukbat, @B. Diddy, @belodion, @Morty2264 and many others for making this forum such a great place.

yep, it happens to all. sometimes I wish there was such a thing as a pensieve (harry potter) where we can withdraw thoughts when they become overwhelming. It would prevent a lot of burn outs. It is always good to take a step back every once in a while. be sure to drink lots of dr pepper and get back soon :-)

Well take care yourself , your a young person with great future to look ahead to , dont take things personally when you have talks about politics everyone will view it differently as long as its civilized . Your welcome back anytime your ready .

Best wishes to you, milleniumdroid. Rest up, heal up, and enjoy the rest of your college days. We've certainly enjoyed your presence and expertise.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well, but I realise what you're going through since I've been there myself. College is an especially difficult time, since you're making so many different changes in your life. Don't be afraid to talk to someone on campus such as a counsellor. Taking a break in order to feel better will be a good thing, and we will look forward to seeing you around here in the future. I wish you all the best.

Words of wisdom.

Take care of yourself. If you ever need a little cheering up, just search the forums for the latest "halp wutz this" post with nothing else in it, and realize that you've got it much more together than a lot of people out there.:p

Get well soon honey.

Milleniumdroid, I am sorry that you are going through a difficult time. I too remember that university was a very stressful and consuming facet of my life. I hope you get the help and support you need, and know that you have the care and support of us here at Android Central.

I hope you get rest and come back feeling refreshed, and I look forward to swapping cat photos with you again!

No matter how long it takes, we'll be waiting to welcome you when you return.

Very familiar with juggling college, life, work and the forums, as I am going through the same thing. You have been a wonderful contributor, and I hope everything can get sorted out soon.

P.S. JavaScript sucks. That's my opinion of school right now...lol

Do some YouTube research on the foods you eat and depression - you may find a link. Crappy diets can lead to depression - heavy sugars, carbs, highly processed foods. These individuals may be of benefit - Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Daniel Amen.
