Nope. I could have activated it myself from my sprint account but I just had them do it there so we could test signal. I was the only person in the store picking up LTE so N5 must have a decent radio. Also, yes I purchased from the play store. They pulled an old Sim card from an HTC one..?Did you have to commit to a term agreement to activate (I am assuming you got your phone via the Google Play store)?
That's crazy. I guess that guy was wrong about me being able to activate from the website because I just logged into my account and it shows unknown device for my phone. That sucks guys, sorry to hear that.Yup... I just left a Sprint store where I was for nearly an hour and they said they can't activate it until November 8... Sprints official announcement was they would allow the unlocked version but they never said WHEN they would allow them to be activated... The store manager (and it was a Sprint owned repair store) said Sprint is not going to let anyone use the phone on their network before they "Officially" launch it on Friday.... The SIM card needed they gave me one free of charge but all that does is allow you to connect to LTE service NOT phone or text service..... I'll try and call and see what they say that route but it does look like if your on Sprint you'll have to wait until Friday..I did do a chat session and told that person I would just cancel my service and switch to another carrier and they told me to go ahead that was an option. and I thought Sprint customer service was starting to get BETTER????

Joyce K.: I am sorry that we cannot activate the Nexus 5 on your account as the ESN has not been updated on the server. That's crazy. I've got the 16gb. Obviously the phones can be added so they're blowing smoke up ..Well I have not given up yet.... lol.... Harassing telesales now.... What version did you have? I have the 32 gig and I know Sprint will only carry the 16 gig.. They were telling me the serial number was blocked for Sprint so I wonder if 16/32 has anything to do with it????

I am out of contract so I am seriously thinking it's time to drop Sprint... They've gotten pretty good in my area for coverage and their price was always good but this might be the nail in the coffin for them... Outrageous they can't activate a phone they said they would honor publicly on the 31st..So glad I'm done with cdma now.

They are telling me it is a 16/32 gig issues.. the 16 gig phones are loaded and they are starting to get a lot of 32 gig request and those are NOT loaded in their system... Might be tomorrow before they can activate the 32 gig phones.....
Well...its sprint what do you expect? Lol
Has anyone tried activating with Ting? I suppose I will need a sim card for LTE from Sprint, can I get one free from the store? I ordered a sim card from T-Mobile as well because I'm thinking of switching, but with my phone on its way tomorrow, I would like to activate it on Ting while I wait for my T-Mo sim.
*edit* Nevermind, I read all about it over on Ting's website. My phone will be in on Tuesday. Hopefully my T-Mo sim card also comes in so I can activate it.
