I also haven't been able to download pictures from my Nikon camera to my Samsung Galaxy 10.1.
This is my first tablet; I just got it a couple of days ago. Today we bought a 30 pin USB Connector. When I plug in the camera I get a quick flash of the file/pictures followed by the message "camera disconnected". I can't read the full notification. What I can read is: "High-power USB device connected. Can not access to this device. Connected device..." When I touch the notification, it clears.
The guy in the electronics store told me this is the correct USB connector. They aren't always right but I don't know anything about tablets so I figured I'd try it. The connector does work with my other USB memory devices.
The camera is less than a month old and has Wi-Fi capability. I have not tried to use that feature yet.
I've downloaded the pictures to my laptop so at least I won't lose them but would like to be able to download them to my tablet.
My husband bought it for me for portability so I can use it as a backup for our pictures as well as record info when we travel. On road trips I bring my laptop but our next one will need the portability of a tablet.
ALL help is sincerely appreciated. If you could, please keep it in simple because I'm tablet illiterate. Thank you.
