okay so i the recovery that just got ported annnddd i got a little ahead of myself. i wiped system and data and all of those fun things because i had to be curios and flash the update.zip that was made for ics and was not ready. now when i try to use the unbrick method that n0ve posted a while back lg phone tools says there was a fatal error...uh oh. so my question is does anyone know where a full update.zip is? I have come to the conclusion that flashing that is my last hope. If anybody can give me any advice here i would be greatly appreciative if you need more details just let me know.

I cant get it to install as soon as i try to open lgflashtool from my c: drive i get the error "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.....

Alright sweet. Its definitely a windows application error. I just have no clue on how to fix it.

Hey guys I just ran the program and had no issues with the zip I provided in my post. I didn't install the LG Mobile Support tool from the LG website. Don't if that helps you. Running Gateway NV55C Windows 7 Home 64 bit

I installed this after a factory restore too my laptop. I hope you get your program running. I tested this on my laptop too make sure there wasn't a error with the program or the download from fropbox itself.

I did that method this morning. Delete everything, restart computer, re-download from link. Install but do not run, restart again and see if it works

okay so i finally figured it out! what i had to do was go and download a newer version of lgflashtool to get it to install then i used the one from the thread here to actually run lgflashtool (the version i downloaded was asking for credentials) but it worked! back up running once again.

Me to thanks for the help guys it was looking hopeless for a second. But while I'm here does anyone know why It is that I can't get busybox to install

wish i could help you out with that one. did you check too be sure your rooted? I am still purely stock and running logcat hoping to crack ics download link
