My Hero won't recognize the wifi I have in my house. It connects to the wifi at my work just fine, and while I'm at home and can even connect to an unprotected netgear account from someone in my neighborhood. I have a Belkin wireless router with a WPA key. My laptop, PS3 and Wii connect without issue so I'm kinda stumped on this one. It's not that my phone won't connect, it like it's not even there - doesn't come up on the list of available networks.

Since I think that the Wii connect only supports b/g, I think that this cannot be it, but I will ask anyway: do you have the router set up to be 802.11n only? The Hero supports 802.11b or 802.11g, but not 802.11n.

Yeah, I think I do have set to n. And I haven't used the Wii in a while so maybe it's not working afterall? I'll try to change it and let you know.

Ok, maybe I'm not understanding. My router says it is "N 150" speed. But the specs say it is 802.11b, 802.11g compatible so I guess I'm back to square one.

If the ps3 or wii connects, its gotta be in a hybrid mode, so that can't be it. There was an issue (and I guess it wasn't fixed) with certain brand of routers and the hero (or type of security) where some just don't work. If i find it, ill post it on here.

my hero will connect to my WI FI at home but when obtaining an address on some other routers it fails to work. I find that the wifi chip in the hero is very weak and unstable from my experience. I am on a 2.1 rom and that is when the problems started. The 1.5 rom seemed to work good but still was really weak in regards to the distance from phone to router
