In location bar, first letter repeats when I type the 2nd letter

I've found some similar questions on these forums, but not exactly the same. This only seems to happen to me in the browser location bar (galaxy s7). I type a letter. So far so good. But when I type a 2nd letter, the first letter is doubled. So I end up with "gga" if I type "ga". I tried the fixes I found for the similar problems - uninstalling webview update, clearing cache, & rebooting phone. Thx

have you tried using a different keyboard? I wonder if it's a keyboard issue or a browser one? what about using a different browser?
