I ordered this yesterday and can't wait to get it. My intent is to keep it on all the time. Can anyone think of a reason not to do this? I'm assuming it won't hurt the internal battery of my new Moto Z Play Droid.
That's a good point. I've been getting thru an entire day, as is, so really there's no "need" to do it. My only issue in leaving it on us that it severely limits my case options to two bumpers.Should be fine to leave it on all the time. If anything, it'll help the internal battery. I have the Z Force, and rarely have trouble getting through a day on the internal battery, so for me there wouldn't be any reason for the extra bulk. If you do have some trouble getting through a day, or just plain don't mind the bulk, then I'm not aware of a reason not to leave it on all the time.
That's where you config it to keep the internal battery at 80%, right? No problem with it on all the time. I heavily recommend efficiency mode as it will be better for both the internal battery and the mod in my opinion.

Moto Z Play Droid and I got the one without wireless charging, as it's lighter than the one with that capability.
I only complain about 1 thing on the battery mods : why, when the mod is plugged, the battery indicator doesn't show the power level of phone + battery... It would be a lot easier to use... And battery graphs wouldn't bug like they do.
Well, it came, but I'm going to return it. It makes the phone too heavy for my liking. In addition, I don't care for the case options with the Moto Mod attached. You're limited to one of the Verizon or Incipio bumpers, none of which I like.
Yes, I felt I wanted more battery on board. I like the phone, but preferred my Turbo. If I could have purchased a NEW Turbo, I would have done that in a heartbeat.Do you really feel as though you needed additional battery using the Play? How do you like the phone?
... So What? The total capacity of the phone + the battery mod makes 5800 mAh. If the phone battery is at 80% of capacity and the battery mod at 50%, by a very simple calculation, you can find that it makes 68% of the total capacity of both phone + battery mod. I would like this 68% to be displayed instead of the constant 80%......The battery mod charges the battery.
