I ordered this yesterday and can't wait to get it. My intent is to keep it on all the time. Can anyone think of a reason not to do this? I'm assuming it won't hurt the internal battery of my new Moto Z Play Droid.

Should be fine to leave it on all the time. If anything, it'll help the internal battery. I have the Z Force, and rarely have trouble getting through a day on the internal battery, so for me there wouldn't be any reason for the extra bulk. If you do have some trouble getting through a day, or just plain don't mind the bulk, then I'm not aware of a reason not to leave it on all the time.

No problem with it on all the time. I heavily recommend efficiency mode as it will be better for both the internal battery and the mod in my opinion.

That's a good point. I've been getting thru an entire day, as is, so really there's no "need" to do it. My only issue in leaving it on us that it severely limits my case options to two bumpers.

When I got my Incipio, I left it on all the time for about two weeks. Then I went to an event where I knew I wouldn't be using my phone so I switched to the style shell. Forgot how light the phone is without the power pack.

Now I just use my slim Poetic case and leave the power pack and bumper with my truck. Totally up to your usage pattern though. My coworker can go through two Tumi's and his Z Force battery in a work day (which is a lot of porn).

Well, it came, but I'm going to return it. It makes the phone too heavy for my liking. In addition, I don't care for the case options with the Moto Mod attached. You're limited to one of the Verizon or Incipio bumpers, none of which I like.

Moto Z Play Droid and I got the one without wireless charging, as it's lighter than the one with that capability.

I only complain about 1 thing on the battery mods : why, when the mod is plugged, the battery indicator doesn't show the power level of phone + battery... It would be a lot easier to use... And battery graphs wouldn't bug like they do.

...The battery mod charges the battery.

Do you really feel as though you needed additional battery using the Play? How do you like the phone?

Yes, I felt I wanted more battery on board. I like the phone, but preferred my Turbo. If I could have purchased a NEW Turbo, I would have done that in a heartbeat.

My biggest issue with the Z Play Droid is the low notification issue.

... So What? The total capacity of the phone + the battery mod makes 5800 mAh. If the phone battery is at 80% of capacity and the battery mod at 50%, by a very simple calculation, you can find that it makes 68% of the total capacity of both phone + battery mod. I would like this 68% to be displayed instead of the constant 80%...

Would definitely be nice to have as an option, among other things you think they could do with the software. Kind of bummed at the lack of improvement with them so far.

Write an app to do that.

Have to say thiss is a fabulous mod. I don't use if most days because I can always plug my phone in while I'm in the office if I need to. But, when I'm on the road all day ... this is perfect. Not too heavy, not too thick, but lots of power.

I keep mine on and use it along with a bumper. I use the efficiency mode. As I have just found out, having a dBrands skin installed on the back will affect the connectivity of the mod.
