Inconsistent Data Connection

If you are in a non LTE area (im in nyc) you have to go in and change your apn settings.. Did this on my skyrocket and the phone data works prefect.

Care to elaborate? I am in Northern NJ with a vivid, but am suffering from this problem. Not sure what to do with the apn settings. The current ones are locked in, but I can add apns, just not sure what info I need.

If you haven't already, please please please open a ticket with att. We need to get them to fix this.

OK, I can now testify that the condition exists in Connecticut as well, and seems to be time specific. I work second shift, and the later it gets, the better the connection gets, and that's in a state with no LTE.

Over here in Towson MD (suburbs of Baltimore), both optimized and non-optimized webpages are working fine. Only time will tell.

I have 4G LTE 1 bar and pulling a decent 9mb DN and 9mb UP. Signal strenth is still very low compaired to my 3G Blackberry Bold with 3 bars sitting right next to my Vivid.

I was just at my AT&T store to get a new vivd for other issues and asked if there was inconsistent data problems with the new LTE. They confirmed several people were having the same issue and that corporate was contacted with the issue. They also said it was fixed, which I did agree as I've not had any issues for 2 weeks now.

OK, I just loaded Speed Test today, so my statistical universe is small so far. First looks depended on time of day. At 3PM, it was dead slow, showing only1.35 down and 0.76 up. By 8PM, it was better, at 5.33 down and 1.64 up (Mbps). Wifi is much hotter, running 10 - 15 down and 5+ up. I'll report again when I have a larger sampling.

No inconsistent data connection here. I'm in san Antonio which is an LTE area and gettin in average about 30 mb down and 15 up. The highest down I had was 55 mb . It's on LTE constant. Rarely will I fall back to hspa+.
