Increase signal? Booster? Wifi Calling?

I have a Maxx HD. The signal strength is pretty crappy in my house. I read that Verizon now has WIFI calling, but I don't think my phone is compatiable with it. Verizon has a network extender, but its $250, and doesn't get good reviews. Anything I can do to increase the signal in my house? I'm tired of not being able to make/receive calls with my phone!

Some carriers will bend on the cost of their femtocell (extender, in your terminology) if you ***** loud and clear about the poor coverage in your home: "WHAT AM I GOING TO DO IF I NEED TO CALL 911 AND CAN'T GET A SIGNAL???" and/or demand that they let you out of your contract without an early termination fee due to lack of coverage in your primary location.

Also, try searching eBay for "verizon extender" - you should be able to do a lot better than $250 but be sure to check with Verizon to ensure that you will be able to use it.
