Increased Battery Life with 4.3

I'm experiencing the same thing. I can't pretend I've been scientific about my use, but since the update, I'm not making it through most days without needing a recharge, whereas I was before. I'm wondering if the new bluetooth stack may be a contributor. I use a jaybird headset for working out/ running, and I know the new BLE stack was included. The headset is 2.1+EDR.

Definitely better here

After 4.3 update, I think my battery life has declined. Initial observation. Will need to monitor more closely to see if true. If so it'll be a disappointment.

I've seen a significant drop in battery performance on my Nexus 4 since the update. Previously the battery would quite typically only drop a few percent overnight with everything turned off. Now it is dropping 30-40% and the thing that is apparently burning up the battery is the OS! Usage was really good before, but over the last few days it has been terrible.

I tried restarting my nexus once and Android OS issue disappeared.

I'm on CM 10.2 (android 4.3). I've noticed improvement in the battery life but really it's going from poor back to normal. When I first got the phone in november the battery life was great on stock 4.2. I could go through a whole day with heavy use and still have 5-10% left by the time i got home (leave for work at 7 get home at 6-630). When I was updated to 4.2.2 stock it was awful. I barely went 8 hours off a full charge. I changed to CM 10.1 and say a slight improvement but it was still abysmal compared to CM 10. Now I'm merely back to where i started getting about 12 hours out of moderate usage, but again, it's CM 10.2, not stock 4.3. This is also on mobile network 3G/HSPA+ all day until i get home, brightness fluctuating from 30-50%, frequent checking of email, push email sync, and some youtube videos on the bus in the morning.

One thing I noticed on CM 10.1 when i flashed the old radio that allowed LTE was that the battery life didn't die as quickly as i thought it would. I think the constant switching from 3G to HSPA+ takes a huge toll on battery life. Has anyone else noticed that battery life is better on LTE?
